Merry Christmas!! Well, this year's biggest Christmas present for me was my roof!! No, not that I got new roof (I did it in 2010), but my roof was saved. Look at this picture!! This is what happened a week ago on December 17th. My neighbor's big pine tree fell. It was a pure luck that it did not hit my house by few inches. It was a big pine tree and my neighbor was kind to get rid of the branch hanging over my roof this summer. If it had not done, my house would have been really damaged. So, I am very grateful for that. Look at how much dirt come up due to the fall.
It appears that because of the draught in California, the root went shallow on surface. And because of all the rain it got too soft and came down. It actually took couple other trees. I heard the thundering noise in the evening, and it was because of this fall. It crashed my neighbor's garage and I am very sorry for that. At the same time, we are in many ways lucky that it did not fall onto our main houses. And thanks to the fact it happened a week before Christmas, tree man came to get rid of the debris over weekend. They brought big crane car to get rid of the tree. That was actually a bit scary because the big chunk of trunks swung by above my roof to the ground. Anyway, bottom line was no one was heart. It could have been a lot worse. I feel I was saved by my God and Kos. It is nice to have roof over my head. I again realized that you never know what happens so we need to live each moment to the fullest!! Naomi

実は昨日までKurt先生が慶應にいらしてME317のさまざまな理論についてご教示いただきました。
Kurt先生が最初の自己紹介のときに、石井先生のことをお話しくださり、調べておりますうちにこちらのブログを拝見いたしました。
実は私も２０１０年に主人が４３歳で膵臓癌で急逝し、その後、人間はどうやって喪失の後からレジリエンスしていくのか、を考えるようになりました。そんなおり、前野先生とお会いし、先生のところで研究させていただくこととなりました。
なおみさんのブログで石井先生の to/ by/ usingのメソッドをつかっていらっしゃる部分に大変感銘を受けました。
私は根っからの文系人間で、デザインシステムの理論や、システムシンキングの理論がいったいどんな風に人の意思決定や価値決定に関係してくるのか、ちんぷんかんぷんでしたが、ビジネスも人の生き方も実は同じだということに気づかされました。
人は毎日選択していきていき、その中で選択すれば、それと同時に選択しなかったものを失いますが、何かを得ることになります。だからこそその選択がどのようにおこなわれるか、システムとして考える価値があるというようにうけとりました。
石井先生のお人柄は、メソッドは、海をこえて、ときをこえて、１日本人学生の私の心にも花を咲かせております。
なおみさんも体にきをつけて、素敵な選択をつづけられますよう、心よりご活躍をお祈りしております。
今後の研究においてもしなおみさんにおめにかかれる機会がありましたら、嬉しいです。
